Easter Mass Live Streaming

Bishop John O’Hara and Bishop Edmund Whalen as well as Msgr. Belford the Dean of the Staten Island Vicariate have been in almost constant contact with the staff of St. Clare since Fr. Richard was hospitalized. Bishop Whalen prayed, via Skype, with Fr. Richard during his final hours. Their concern and compassion for the parishioners of St. Clare’s has been overwhelming. So much so that they have offered their personal assistance during Easter weekend. Bishop Whalen will be celebrating both the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday evening at 8:00 pm as well as our Easter Sunday Mass at 11:30 am on Sunday morning here in the Church of St. Clare. These services will be livestreamed on our website, youtube channel and our Facebook page. The church will continue to be closed to the public. Bishop Whalen is foregoing his duties at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in order to celebrate the Eucharist with us on both days in Fr. Richard’s memory. Unfortunately, Bishop O’Hara must remain in his residence out of an abundance of caution during this period of uncertainty. However, he will be with us in spirit and continues to pray for all of us.
