In this week’s Gospel (Mk 10:35-45) we read, “Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” May we find joy in serving others this week.
This past Wednesday, Fr. Arthur celebrated our 7th grade confirrmandi’s inscription service. It was a beautiful prayer service during which parents passed a lit candle representing the light of Christ to their children. We thank Mrs. Vautrinot, Mrs. Continanzi, and Mrs. Miller for praying a lovely service and more importantly for preparing our students for their Confirmation. Thanks also to Fr. Brendan for joining us at the service.
The adult Halloween Party has been canceled as too few registrations were received. Refunds will be processed this week. We thank all those involved with planning the event and hope that next year the date is better for everyone’s schedules.
We look forward to the children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, October 26th. We appreciate our Grade 3 class reps, Mrs. Gilsenan and Mrs. Palazzola, for organizing the event.
