12/18/22
Dear School Families,
This week we were treated to Christmas pageants performed by our youngest and oldest students. On Wednesday our PreK students provided us with a variety of wonderful songs and an adorable retelling of the nativity. On Friday, we were treated to our 8th grade students’ beautiful presentation of the nativity. All of the performances reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas. A special thank you to all of the teachers, aides, staff, and students who worked so hard on the pageants.
Our celebration continues this week with our Kindergarten Pageant on Tuesday, our 3rd grade Christmas show on Thursday, and our Advent Prayer Service on Thursday afternoon.
Our Kindergarten Pageant takes place on Tuesday, December 20th at 12:00 p.m. in the church.
If you would like a sibling from the big school to attend the pageant and do not plan on having them return to school after the performance, please write a note to the teacher and sign them out before the performance at the Lindenwood entrance.
If you would like a sibling from the big school to attend the pageant but would like the student to return to school after the performance, please write a note to the teacher and Mrs. Olsen will bring the student to the church for the performance. They will return to school after the performance with Mrs. Olsen.
We are also looking forward to our 3rd Grade Christmas Show on Thursday, December 22nd at 8:30 a.m. in the school auditorium. Grades 4, 5, and 6 were able to watch our 3rd graders’ rehearsal for their Christmas show. Grades 1 and 2 are scheduled to see a rehearsal early this week. If you would like siblings in other grades to see the show, please have them attend the show with you and then report to their homerooms after the performance.
There has been a rise in the number of forgotten materials dropped off for students after the school day begins. Delivering these items causes an interruption of instruction. Please work with your child to pack up everything the night before.
Flyers for the upcoming Talent Show have been distributed. We encourage our students to showcase their many talents in the show.
Friday, December 23rd is our last day of school before our Christmas break. It is a 12:00 dismissal day. There will be no aftercare on the 23rd. Our students are sure to enjoy the class parties planned for them on the 23rd. Thank you to our Class Reps and teachers for planning fun activities for our students. Students are welcome to wear red and green (no cropped tops, slides or ripped jeans) to add to the festive spirit!
MAP and midterms exams (grades 6 - 8; religion grades 3 - 8) will take place throughout the month of January. Teachers will share exam schedules as they become available.
As we end 2022 and look forward to 2023, I am filled with gratitude for our priests, teachers, school staff, maintenance staff, parish staff, students, and families who do so much to support our school and most importantly, our students. We are blessed!
We wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! We hope the break provides an opportunity for family fun and togetherness!
God Bless!
Mrs. Olsen
