Week of 6/13/22
Dear School Families,
It is difficult to believe that this is the last weekly IRIS alert for the 2021 - 2022 school year. This year there were many challenges that we had to overcome due to the COVID protocols that we were required to follow. I am immensely grateful for our teachers and aides who seamlessly arranged for Zoom links when needed and provided additional support for our students. They went above and beyond showing their love for our students and our school at every turn.
Our students’ well-being was of great importance to our safety officers and nurse. Thank you for caring for our students
Thank you to our Lunch Moms and After Care staff for all of your hard work and for caring for our students. Class Moms, we appreciate all of your great ideas and help this year. Our students had a blast at the many events that we were able to have with your support.
I am also thankful for our maintenance staff and Mrs. Gerri Smith who support our school not only throughout the school year but during the summer as well. While their work may be “behind the scenes” it is essential. I know the teachers and staff join me in thanking them as well.
We are also thankful for our priests, Fr. Arthur, Fr. Brendan, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Jacob, and also for Seminarian William for their constant support and for helping us all to grow in our faith.
This year we welcomed Mrs. Eileen Griffo to St. Clare. We are blessed to have her! Thank you for leading with kindness.
The dedication of our office staff is unparalleled. Thank you for all of your hard work, great ideas, and help with all that we do. You have made all of our lives easier!
And finally, thank you parents and school families for your support this past year and for trusting us with your most precious gift, your children. Know that all that we do, we do with them in mind.
May God Bless Us Always!
Mrs. Olsen
Updates and Reminders for the Coming Week
Congratulations to our 8th Graders on their graduation! God Bless!
Kindergarten Graduation and PreK Step Up
Siblings must be signed out in order to attend Kindergarten or PreK ceremonies. We will escort siblings over to the CCC for the 12:00 PreK step-up ceremony since it is another building and there is no reserved seating for parents at the step-up ceremony. Parents, you MUST email your child’s teacher by Tuesday morning if you would like them escorted over. Your email will serve as your sign-out. Siblings attending the 10:00 PreK ceremony come to school after the ceremony.
Kindergarten parents, kindly sign siblings out from the Lindenwood entrance if you would like them to attend.
Summer Fun Raffle
Monday will be the last day to purchase tickets for the final raffle of the school year. Tickets are 3 for $5 and 7 for $10. The winner will be called on Field Day.
Field Day
We all looking forward to Field Day on Tuesday, June 14th. Thanks to Mrs. Napolitano for all of her hard work in organizing this event. Thanks also to Mrs. DiBlasi and Mrs. Gigliotti for the creative relay races. Our class reps will be on hand lending their support. We appreciate your help!
Summer Work and Supplies
We are in the process of finalizing the summer work and supply lists for the coming school year. Be sure to check the website (school.stclaresi.com) at the end of the month for the information.
Mothers’ Club
Thank you to all who volunteered to be an officer of the Mothers’ Club. The officer positions will be randomly selected this week. All mothers/guardians will automatically be members of the club. The newly elected officers will be sharing information about upcoming meetings and events over the summer.
Collections for Teachers
Our Class Moms are in the process of organizing end-of-year collections for our wonderful teachers. Please be sure to contact your Class Mom if you would like to participate.
Tuition
Please remember that tuition and fee must be up to date to receive your child’s report card and class placement information.
Feast of Corpus Christi
A Constant Contact was recently sent out regarding our parish’s celebration of Corpus Christi. This is sure to be a wonderful celebration of Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist. 6th-grade students have the opportunity to assist with the procession and receive 1 hour of community service toward next year’s Confirmation service requirement. School students who attend are encouraged to wear school uniforms, school team uniforms, or school spirit wear. 2nd Graders are welcome to wear their communion outfits.
