Week of 10/8/23
Dear School Families,
Last Friday, we celebrated a wonderful school Mass led by our 6th grade students. During the homily, Father Arthur reminded all of us that we are all called to be responsible, even the youngest among us. May we embrace our responsibility to love one another this week.
This week, there are several important announcements to keep in mind. Firstly, it's crucial that you have sent proof of immunizations and medical exams to Nurse Krissy for all PreK, Kindergarten, 6th-grade, and new students as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the requirements, please don't hesitate to reach out to Nurse Krissy.
There was a new Home Language Form sent home with students last week. Please be sure to complete both sides of the form, sign it, and return it to school by Tuesday, October 10th.
When driving in the parking lot during drop-off or pick-up, please exercise caution and drive slowly. Parents and children often walk through the lot, and we've had some near misses. Our top priority is everyone's safety.
The Mother - Tea Survey (https://forms.gle/XV1Ex7Adudi3B6t4A) was sent out last week. Kindly complete the survey by Tuesday, October 10th. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
The Mother’s Club Spirit Wear store is now open and will remain open until October 15th. Be sure to check it out! You can reach the store by visiting https://www.spcustomgear.com/team/st-clare-school.
The deadline for registering for the PreK - Grade 4 Halloween Party has been extended until Wednesday, October 11th.
Please call the school office if you are a working mom and are interested in joining the Crafty Moms but are unable to attend the meetings.
Congratulations to 3rd grade student, Ryan Buddensick. Ryan has been selected as this year’s CYO Shining Star honoree!
We eagerly anticipate the return of two student-created clubs this coming Tuesday. The Chess Club will meet in the STREAM Lab after dismissal, while Mary's Helpers Rosary Club will meet in the church. Chess Club participants will be dismissed through the school doors behind the rectory, and Mary's Helpers attendees will exit through the front doors of the church.
There will be no school this Monday, October 9th in recognition of Columbus Day. Also, please note that Friday, October 13th is a half day due to a faculty meeting.
Lastly, we are all deeply saddened by the news of a tragic stabbing incident that occurred on Friday afternoon. Please keep all those affected by this terrible tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
A list of upcoming events follows.
Have a blessed week!
Mrs. Olsen
