Dear School Families,
Today we begin a new liturgical year with the season of Advent. During Advent, we pray ‘Come Lord Jesus Come’ as we prepare for Jesus’ second coming at the end of time and the celebration of His birth on Christmas Day. We will soon begin our Jesse Tree services in school to help us prepare. Advent reflections from Bishop Baron have been added to the main page of the school website to provide all an opportunity for reflection during this special time.
Thank you to all for the numerous food donations for our parish St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Food donations were collected during our Thanksgiving assembly which was lovingly organized by Mrs. Barricella, Mrs. Miller, and our 8th grade students.
The Breakfast with Santa event is now closed as we have reached capacity. Students who are interested in volunteering should contact Mrs. Gardella.
Calling PreK parents! Volunteers are needed for Breakfast with Santa setup (December 9th) and day of the event (December 10th). Please email the [email protected] if you are able to lend a hand.
This week we look forward to our Christmas Fair on Wednesday, November 30th. Thank you to our class reps from 2nd and 6th grades, Mrs. Montalbano, Mrs. Marsicano, Mrs. Barrett, and Mrs. Fago and our Mothers’ Club officers, Mrs. Bongiorni, Mrs. Wilke, Mrs. Cox, and Mrs. Sarcona for all of their hard work on this event. Thanks also to Mrs. Gardella for organizing all of our vendors and to our maintenance staff for their continued support.
There will be no school for students on Friday, December 2nd as the teachers have a conference day.
As we end our Thanksgiving holiday we give thanks to the Lord for all of our many blessings!
Please review the list of upcoming events which follows.
God Bless!
Mrs. Olsen
