Dear School Families,

This past Saturday, our 7th-grade Confirmation candidates attended a meaningful retreat organized by Ms. Ferro, the director of our Religious Education program. A highlight of the day was receiving heartfelt letters from their parents and/or sponsors. We are grateful to Mrs. Vautrinot and Mrs. Miller for guiding the students in bringing parables to life through skits, and we appreciate Fr. Carmine for sharing his inspiring thoughts on Confirmation. May God bless our students as they continue their journey toward this important sacrament.

Our students had a wonderful time at our Trunk or Treat on Halloween Day. The creativity of our class reps was on display with their spooktacular, imaginative setups. We are thankful to the following for making the day extra special for our students:

Our 8th grade students also had a fun-filled afternoon at their Halloween Party. A special thank you to Mrs. Bannon, Mrs. Carpenito, Mrs. Newell, and Mrs. Sheehan, for planning a lovely afternoon for our students and to Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Napolitano for being on hand to help!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to participate in the St. Jude’s Math-a-Thon. Sign ups will be accepted until Monday. Fun books will be sent home by the end of next week. Students will then have a week to complete the books and return them with their donations. Shout out to the 7th grade for their large number of participants!

Tuesday, November 5th will be picture day for students in grades K - 7. Winter uniforms must be worn.

Art Club for grades 3 & 4 is now closed.

A few deadlines are quickly approaching. Ice Cream orders are due November 8th; Christmas Fair sponsorships are due November 8th; registrations for the Father-Son event are due November 11th; and Thanksgiving Pie orders are due November 13th. Your participation in these events greatly supports our school. Thank you!

Friday, November 8th is a 12:00 dismissal day for a Regional Conference Day.

School will be closed on Monday, November 11th for Veteran’s Day.

There will be a 12:00 dismissal day on Tuesday, November 12th for a faculty meeting.

Report Cards will be posted for students in grades K - 8 on November 20th. Please be sure that tuition payments are up-to-date so that a report card can be received. 

All immunization and health records should have been submitted to the school office. Please be sure that your child is in compliance as Public Health Law Section 2164 requires exclusion from school if proof of immunizations is not on file.
 
8th grade students will take the TACHS exam this Friday, November 8th. 8th grade parents please be sure to run through all device checks as soon as possible if you haven’t already done so. Directions can be found on the school website.

Please join me in praying for our 8th graders:

Dear Lord,

As the 8th graders take the TACHS exam, let them know  that their value is not based on their performance, but on Your great love for them.

Come into their hearts so that they walk through this time with You.

Help them, not only with this test, but with the many tests of life that are sure to come their way.

As they take the exam, bring back to their minds everything they studied and be gracious with what they have overlooked.

Help them to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in their ability,and firm in the knowledge that no matter what happens You are there with them.

We ask this through your son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
