Dear School Families,
As we continue in this season of Easter, we recall the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sins. May this knowledge fill our hearts with the love of Christ this week!
A special thank you to Mrs. Griffo, our teachers, staff, and students for their hard work on the state tests this week. Job well done!
On Saturday a fun time was had by all at the Mother-Daughter Tea! A special thank you to Mrs. Festa, Mrs. LaGrega, Mrs. Wilk, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. DeFranco, Mrs. Lukowski, Mrs. McEvoy, Mrs. Bongiorni, Mrs. Napolitano, and Mrs. Greenblum for planning such a lovely event!
A flyer was sent home this week regarding the upcoming Mathathon. Much like a traditional walkathon, students sign up sponsors who will give a donation for each math problem completed by the student (rather than each mile walked). All donations will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please return the cut off if you would like your child to participate. A book of grade appropriate math problems will be sent home to all who sign up. We appreciate Mrs. Kneeshaw and the members of our National Junior Honor Society for organizing this worthwhile program in support of the outstanding work done by St. Jude’s. Please return forms as soon as possible.
Our next pretzel day will be on April 26th. Pretzel money is due by Friday, April 19th.
Congratulations to 4th grade student, Jason Recine, on winning the Zimmer Club Achievement Award, given for his enthusiasm and hard work in the Zimmer Youth Conservation Program. Well done, Jason! We’re so proud of you!
Reminder: There will be no bus service on April 22nd and April 26th. Please mark your calendars.
Report cards will be posted on Tuesday, April 23rd. Please be sure that all tuition payments are up-to-date.
A note of thanks to all of our school families who donated baked goods for our parish bake sale. There will certainly be several delicious treats for all to choose from following masses this weekend!
There will be a Mass of Deliverance for the People of Haiti at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday, April 21st at 10:15 a.m. The Mass will be celebrated by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan. All are welcome!
Radio Bingo will open to the parish on April 15, 2024. Please be sure to send in your reservation if you plan on attending and haven’t already done so.
A list of upcoming events follows.
Have a blessed week!
Mrs. Olsen
