In this week's Gospel (John 10:11-18), the comparison between the dedication of a shepherd and that of a hired hand is highlighted. As I reflected on this Gospel, the notion of a hired hand prompted me to consider that while we often consider our commitment to our work, we seldom consider our commitment to living our faith. May this week serve as an opportunity to deepen our commitment to living our faith by showing kindness to others.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Chuck Tracy on his retirement and express our gratitude for his dedicated support to our school during his tenure as parish manager. We wish him a happy retirement!
Additionally, we warmly welcome Deacon Richard Salhaney as he steps into the role of parish manager. We offer our best wishes to Deacon as he embarks on this new journey!
You should have received information about the Summer Journey program directly from Catapult Learning this week. This complimentary program offers fantastic opportunities for our students. It's offered in person at Father Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy, Our Lady Queen of Peace, St. Teresa-St. Rita STREAM Academy, Sacred Heart, and St. Charles. Additionally, there's a virtual option available. The program operates Monday through Thursday from July 8th to August 15th. Completing the program fulfills summer school requirements. While the enrollment deadline is May 22nd, early registration is recommended as spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
