Dear School Families,
Today is Pentecost Sunday, the end of the Easter season and the beginning of Ordinary Time. Today we remember the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles and Jesus’ followers. May the Holy Spirit guide us in all that we do!
There were many wonderful things to celebrate this past week. The week began with our 5th graders' spectacular presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Special thanks to Mrs. Treacy, Ms. Billera, and Mrs. Barricella for helping the students with their performance.
Congratulations to all of our 7th graders who received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Thank you Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Vautrinot, and Mrs. Continanzi for preparing our students so well for the sacrament.
We received word at the end of the week that our track team was named boy and girl Island Champs. Well done!
This coming week we look forward to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade movie trip on Tuesday, the 8th grade picnic on Wednesday, and our drama club’s presentation of Aladdin Jr. on Wednesday evening. The week will culminate with the Candle Mass at 8:30 Friday morning.
Tickets/reservations are still available for Alladdin Jr., the Ferry Hawks game (June 3rd) and Radio Bingo (June 10th). Please call the school office if you have any questions about these fun filled activities.
On June 11th, our parish will be celebrating the feast of Corpus Christi with a Eucharistic procession following the 11:30 Mass. It is a wonderful opportunity for school families to participate in a long-standing Catholic tradition. More information to follow.
The June menu for Osteria Santina has been posted to the school website. Please be sure to place your monthly order before the new month begins on Thursday.
The TADS parent portal is now closed. Tuition must be up to date to ensure your child’s seat for next year.
Please keep Safety Officer Joe in your prayers as he will be having surgery this week.
Congratulations to Physical Education teacher Pat DeForte as he has announced his retirement at the end of the school year. You will be missed!
As we celebrate Memorial Day tomorrow, let us keep all those who died serving our country in our prayers. We are forever grateful.
Please closely review the list of upcoming events which follows.
Have a blessed week!
Mrs. Olsen
