Week of 12/20/21
Dear St. Clare Families,
As we begin this fourth and final week of Advent, we were led in 10:00 Mass by our 8th-grade students.
May these last few days before Christmas be filled with joy as we await the celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. May you experience the love of Christ often this coming year.
Mrs. Olsen
Congratulations to the newly installed Altar Servers. May God bless you in your ministry!
8th Grade Pageant
Thank you, students, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Kneeshaw, and Mrs. Barricella for a truly wonderful pageant. Your performance filled us all with the true spirit of Christmas.
Many of you may have heard that the videographer was sick and not in attendance. We hope to have the students’ pageant filmed at a later date. Students, please keep your costumes at home until a date for filming is determined.
Cutest Cookies
Thank you to Mrs. Maria Domante and Mrs. Adriana Scalici for organizing the Cutest Cookies fundraiser. We appreciate all of your hard work! Please note that cookie orders that were not picked up on Friday afternoon will be sent home with the students on Monday. Call the office no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday if you would rather make arrangements to pick them up.
Midterm Exams
Midterm exams in all core subjects (religion, ELA, math, science, social studies) will be administered to students in grades 6 - 8 the week of January 17th and on Monday, January 24th. Students in grades 3 - 5 will only be administered a religion midterm the same week. Teachers will be providing more information shortly.
Registration for Next Year
Please call the office as soon as possible if you have a child who you would like to attend St. Clare next year who isn’t currently in our school. We want to give our current school families the opportunity to apply before our application process begins with the general public. Registration will open to the general public on 1/3/22.
Lunch Parents/Aftercare
We are in need of a few lunch parents and aftercare workers. Please complete the Lunch Parent/After Care form if you are interested. The form is also available on the school website.
PreK and Kindergarten Christmas Activities
Our Kindergarten and PreK students are hard at work preparing their Christmas presentations. Thank you, students, teachers, and aides for all of your hard work.
Advent Service
Our 7th-grade students will lead the school in an Advent Service as we come to the end of the season of Advent. Thank you Mrs. Miller and students for helping us to learn more about our faith.
Dress Down/Christmas Treat
Students are invited to dress down in red and/or green on Wednesday, December 22nd. No ripped jeans, slides, or cropped tops, please.
Our Class Reps will be in the school yard to distribute a Christmas Treat to our students on Wednesday, December 22nd. Thank you for all you do to support our students and school!
